We’re delighted to announce that our new coworking office business in Poundbury has opened. It offers workers the ability to hire a desk by the hour and provides freelancers, home-based workers and travelling businesspeople with a coworking space and meeting room facilities.
In keeping with the times, Purple Office has been fitted out with booths purpose-built for video conference calls, in addition to a state-of-the-art meeting room.
Purple Office will initially open during traditional business hours, staffed to help new members get settled in. However in June members will be able to physically access the office and reserve desks using an innovative mobile app. This will provide customers the ability to self-register, allowing immediate and secure access to the office any time from 7am until 10pm.
Husband and Wife Team
The business has been set up by husband and wife team James and Vikki Hart.
James said, “We’re delighted to be opening our doors to our first customers. If you’re a freelancer, home-based business, home worker or you just need a professional meeting room or private space to meet clients or videoconference, Purple Office is here to help.”
“Since the start of the pandemic, working from home has never been so popular. We recognise however that many such workers occasionally require a more formal working environment to carry out their day-to-day duties. This is where coworking spaces are invaluable. Our pay-as-you-go pricing makes our facilities affordable and accessible for everyone from micro-businesses to large corporates, with no long term financial commitments during these turbulent times.”
Vikki added “In addition to coworking we will provide a full virtual office service, allowing use of our professional business address for mail, parcels and registration with major search engines and online map services. We also look forward to members hiring our comfortable and well-appointed workspace, with kitchen, to host a multitude of their own daytime and evening events.”
Coworking Office Location
Purple Office is located at Crown Square, Poundbury – one of the newest sections of Prince Charles’ model village currently undergoing development. The facility has ample on-road parking and is a first for this part of Dorset, with no other business offering equivalent services in the area.
